BCHS opened the regular season Monday afternoon at Telfair County. The Lady Royals will be without pitcher Riley Edge for at least two weeks due to a foot injury.

Leading 1-0 on Emily Sanders' second inning triple, Telfair tied the game on a groundout in the third. BC had runners at second and third with two out in the fourth but didn't score. It was the second time they stranded two runners, having failed to capitalize on two on with no outs in the first.

The runner who tried to go to to third was doubled off before making it back to second base. Telfair loaded the bases with two outs. A hit batter followed by a single foiled Bleckley's comeback attempt 6-5. Five of six Lady Trojan runs came after two outs.
