Busy week of preseason begins for Lady Royals.

Preseason play for the Lady Royals continued Monday at home against Veterans High School. At the last minute, it was changed from a single game to two, allowing for more players to see action.

Mallory Sears sets to throw to first base.


Game one’s lineup was filled with freshmen and underclassmen. Despite not getting a hit until the fourth inning, single runs in the fourth and fifth gave BC a 2-0 lead. Veterans though scored seven in the seventh to win 7-3. Clara Rickerson accounted for two of the team’s four hits, going 2 for 3.

Riley Edge makes a catch in right field.


The next game saw Landa Dominy and Riley Edge with back to back doubles in a six-run bottom of the first. In a game that lasted six innings, the Lady Royals won 8-1. Dominy finished 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and 3 RBI. Caroline Thrower went 2 for 2 with a double. Emily Sanders went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. E’Lisia Vickers was 1 for 2. BCHS will scrimmage at West Laurens tomorrow, game times are 4 and 5:30 pm.
