It’s the Christmas season which means churches have a variety of special services and events Here is a listing of what's known. To help keep the list updated, send your information to BleckleyProgress@aol.com
December 14, 15, 16- Bethany Baptist Church “Drive Through Bethlehem,” 6-8 pm. Re-enactment of Bethlehem the night Jesus was born. Roman soldiers, townspeople, live animals. Walkthrough the first night, drive through on Saturday and Sunday.
December 15- Limestone Baptist Church "Breakfast with Santa." Two seatings, 9 and 10 am. (478)278-7032 for more info.
Macedonia Baptist Church “Living Nativity,” Macedonia Church Road at GA 257. Performances at 6, 6:45, and 7:30 pm. Theme “Glorious Day,” recounting the time of Jesus’ birth. Live animals to pet and take pictures with.
December 16- Christ Chapel Cochran “Christmas with Lindsay Huggins,” 9 and 10:30 am. Concert featuring former intern of Reba McEntire.
Cornerstone Church of Cochran- “Christmas at Cornerstone,” a night of Christmas music followed by refreshments, 6 pm.
Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church- Christmas Cantata “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” 10:30 am service.
House of Grace- Children's musical "Building Christmas," 10:30 am.
Lakeview Baptist Church- Christmas play, 6 pm.
Limestone Baptist Church- Christmas musical followed by fellowship, 6 pm.
Macedonia Baptist Church- Children and youth Christmas play, 5:30 pm. Party to follow with visit from Santa.
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church- Adult Choir Christmas musical- 11 am.
Salem Baptist Church- Christmas Cantata, 6 pm.
December 23- Christ Chapel Cochran “Christmas at Christ Chapel.” Children’s musical at 9 am, biscuits at 9:30, service at 10.
First United Methodist Church- Choir special, 11 am.
Strong Tower Church- Christmas Communion Service, 10:30 am.
Christmas Eve- First Baptist Church, drop in communion service 5-7 pm.
First United Methodist Church, candlelight communion service at 5:30 pm.
House of Grace- Candlelight service, 6 pm.
Limestone Baptist Church- Christmas Eve service, 6 pm.
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church- Candlelight service, 4:30 pm.
Trinity Episcopal Church- Candlelight service, 10:30 pm.
