Update on prom coverage, my finances.

As many of you know, Bleckley County High School's prom is March 29. Longtime readers of the site no doubt the walkthrough section I did highlighting students arrival.

While I realize it was a popular feature, the reality is, I can't do it. With the amount of work I have to do, plus still hurting badly over the loss of my dad, as well as trying to negotiate life on my own, it'd be too physically demanding to do a full section. I'm sorry

That being said, I may have another idea. A small section (three to five photos) highting different aspects of the prom walkthrough. A car arriving, picture of students being announced, a picture of a couple going inside.

Also, as Friday is pretty much an open day, I will be available to assist with individual photos if you're interested. Email for a price sheet or more information if interested.

My dad's estate is getting closer to being settled. A buyer has been found for the farm land. However, it's not settled yet. As I've continued to work as hard as possible to cover the community, I still have life expenses.

They'll be going up as unfortunately, I recently had a minor scrape with a deer. While the damage was minimal, it's still a $500 insurance deductible. That won't help my finances.

I don't tell you this to ask for your help. The site has always been about, and will continue to be about, covering the community. I tell you this and remind you of ways you can help if you wish to do so. The donate button on the main page, PayPal (BleckleyProgress@aol.com), the GoFundMe (Help Dave and Bleckley Progress), or via Google Pay (bleckleycheerfan@gmail.com)

My dad helped start Bleckley Progress 13 years ago. I remain committed to providing the best online newspaper I can. Your continued readership and support is appreciated. Thanks so much.
