No one will disparage the historic season for Royals football. Elven wins, the most in program history. The first region title for BCHS. However, Friday’s season-ending loss to Callaway in round two is one that will likely sting for a while.

Things got off to a fast start when TJ Mays dashed 63 yards to the endzone in the first minute of the game. Callaway though would return the ensuing kickoff to BC’s 32. With 9:37 left, a one-yard touchdown run tied the game.

However on fourth and four from the seven, a pass to the endzone was picked off. BC finally scored on a Jahvon Butler three-yard run late in the fourth. The season ended with a 35-14 loss.
