The 16 and under Twisters had most of their team together Saturday for the WFC State Tournament held at Southern Pines in West Dublin. They played several innings of good defense.

But in both games, a bad first inning and struggles with the bat hurt the team. Against the Southern Storm, four of the Storm's seven runs were scored in the first inning. The Twisters could not push a run across, including an inning with first and second, no one out.

By losing 7-0, the Twisters fell into the loser's bracket. Unfortunately for the team, history repeated itself against the Lady Raiders. Six of the games eight runs were scored in the first inning.

The Twisters could only score once as their day ended with an 8-1 defeat. All three teams will be in action July 5 in Cordele.
