Tyresha Williams had six first-quarter points to give the Lady Royals an early lead. Wilcox's 13-10 lead at the end of the first was their biggest thus far. After a Rickenya Jenkins three cut what was a six-point second-quarter deficit in half, the Lady Patriots scored six straight to push their lead to nine.

BCHS used an 11-2 run to even things up at the break. Tied at 26 going into the third, the teams swapped leads until about three minutes remained when Wilcox would build a five-point lead. Down 42-37 to begin the fourth, WCHS used a 10-3 run to take its biggest lead of the game.

A Jenkins three with about four minutes left would be the last time BC cut the lead below double digits as Bleckley lost 64-48. Jenkins had 12. Williams finished with 20.

This Elizabeth Wynne jumper tied the score at halftime of the girls game Saturday.

Ken Hughes started an 8-2 run to answer a 5-0 start by Wilcox. It was capped by a Brentine Taylor dunk to give the Royals an early lead. Bleckley's 10-9 lead would not last as the Patriots had three consecutive three-point shots as part of a 20-4 run to end the first.

BC's deficit was between 14 and 18 points in the second. Taylor saw limited minutes for the remainder of the game due to an apparent knee injury. A WC basket with 10 seconds left made the halftime deficit 39-23. BCHS trailed by as many as 21 in the third.

Vidal Nelson lays one in.

Down 49-31 about five minutes in, the Royals began a furious rally. Vidal Nelson scored ten straight points as Bleckley outscored Wilcox 21-2 to lead 52-51 going into the fourth.

Tyler Rogers shoots a three.

BC's biggest lead was three points. The Patriots took a three-point lead with 4:10 left in the game. It started a 9-3 run.
