In past seasons, Dublin High School has been a thorn in the side of Royals baseball. Not this year. Bleckley dominated the Irish, winning all three games. It was a point of pride for head coach Brad Davis, who pointed it out during his remarks at Tuesday's baseball awards banquet.

Dylan Churchwell recieves a plaque for being honorable mention on the 3-AA All-Region Team from assistant coach Shane Savant. Senior Kyle Brown was amongst the honorable mentions, he made it as a designated hitter.

For the second straight season, Bleckley missed the state playoffs by one inning. However, they had an improved season overall. Their 13-11 record was their best since 2009. Bleckley also had two players of the year as part of all-region team selections.

Most Promising JV Players Austin Williams and Austin Simmons.

It was all part of the evening that saw coaches, parents, and their families enjoy a meal of steak and baked potato. A photo slideshow featured many season highlights. JV and varsity players were recognized, all received certificates.

Chastain Coleman won three awards. Best Offense, Defense, and MVP.

Davis praised the seniors for their effort and leadership. He said it was a "great ride" and hoped they'd come back to visit. All-Region selections were recognized. Of Gary Arnold, who handled JV coaching duties and presented the JV award, Davis called him a "BCHS Royals Encyclopedia."

He said he was glad to be able to work with such a great group and didn't consider what he did a job. After a couple of housekeeping announcements, Rusth Pastor Todd Bishop said a benediction.
