One thing that can be said about BCMS head baseball coach is that he has a broad perspective of things. The team lost to West Laurens in this year's MGMSAA semifinals. But it was other things that caused him to view this season as pretty good.

A catered meal of roast beef, mashed potatos, and green beans was on the menu. People could go back for seconds while enjoying a slide show.

One of them was Austin Rogers getting to pitch during Diamond Day in Cochran against a Trinity Christian School batter. It received attention in Dublin. Another proud moment was their success at Hawkinsville Diamond Day against host Pulaski County Middle School and Ben Hill County Middle School.

Sixth grade players Beau Williams, Carson Waters, Steven Knighton, Joshua Mullins, Brice Bailey.

Bleckley won both games. They and Dodge County both were successful against the two teams (PCMS and Ben Hill) that faced off in their league's championship game. Hart used it to point to the strength of their region.

Seve4nth grader Andrew Thompson receives his certificate from Phillip Hart. Of the seventh grade class, Hart said they'd be leaders and would be expected to step up next season.

Hart spoke of how he watched last Friday's baseball playoffs and was sad to see this year's senior class loose. He mentioned text messages sent to the players saying that over time, the hurt would pass. He spoke of things that really mattered and pointed upward as a relationship with Christ of something that did matter.

Players received certificates. Eighth grade players got hooded sweatshrits. As managers were recognized, Austin Rogers received a special gift. This was his final year as manager. Rogers wore #26 all three years. Hart presented Rogers with his jersey and said no one would ever the number again.

Of this year's eighth grade class, Hart said he never had to worry about carrying them to a restaurant, talking trash, or doing anything bad. He attributed their good attitudes to the parents.

As is per usual, five specific awards were given. Future Baron: Steven Knighton. Coaches' Award: Christian Kight. Hoover Award (best fielding percentage): Cody Dennis. Big Stick (best batting average) Chandler Abney. Middle school Cy Young: Carter Raffield.

Austin Rogers recieves his #26 jersey. He'd worn it all three years as manager. Hart said Rogers brought more to the program than anyone he'd ever been around.

During closing remarks, Hart spoke of how this year's team would fight to overcome hardships mentioning the Ben Hill County game where he said they won despite not playing well. He spoke of the Bible being a guide that would give people advice on how to overcome adversity.

Homerun Club president Michelle Knighton and Danette Rogers present gifts. Amy Lee accepted the award for assistant coach Mike Lee, who had a rec. softball game.

Hart and Amy Lee (accepting for assistant coach Mike Lee who had a rec. ball game) were presented gifts on behalf of the Homerun Club. Club president Michelle Knighton said it'd been a great season and thanked everyone for their support. Hart thanked the club and parents for their support this season as the evening ended in prayer.

Award winners L-R: Carter Raffield, Chandler Abney, Cody Dennis, Christian Kight, Steven Knighton.

Congratulations to all the award winners.
