Full day of all star action sees one team bring home trophy.

Thanks to weather delays, seven of eight all star teams were in action Saturday. After it was all said and done, one came away with their second straight trophy.

In Eastman: The 11-12 boys won their suspended game against Hawkinsville 5-4. They took a 2-0 lead against Telfair County but gave up eight unanswered runs and lost 10-2. Despite Steven Knighton's two-run home run against Dodge County, BC saw their day end 5-3. They play Monday at 5:30 in Hawkinsville.

The 11-12 girls had an early 2-0 lead against Telfair County but lost 8-3. They play Monday in Cochran at 6:45 pm.

In McRae: Games got a late start due to Friday rains. The 7-8 boys lost their opener to Appling County. They had a 5-3 lead against Soperton but were eliminated 6-5. BC plays Monday in Hawkinsville at 6:45 pm.

The 9-10 girls lost their opener to Wilcox County. Though leading 4-1 versus Telfair, Bleckley gave up eight unanswered runs to lose 10-4. Their next game is Monday in Cochran at 5:30.

A win versus Appling County got the 9-10 boys off to a good start. They stayed perfect beating Dodge County 7-2. Down 7-6 in the sixth to Telfair, BC scored twice in the top half then held on to win 8-7. The championship game was a rematch against Appling County.

The 9-10 boys team with coaches Shaun Hill, Craig Chapman, and Shane Savant.


AC hit three solo home runs in game one to win 10-2. Bleckley would get runners on base in game two, including the leadoff man in the sixth, but be shut out 4-0. They finish second for a second straight tournament. The team will not be in Hawkinsville due to schedule conflicts but will play in the Cochran Invitational. Details are TBD.
