A pair of new faces sat in at Monday's regularly scheduled Cochran. It was the first appearance for new director David Harrell and new field coordinator Andy Brand.

Here is information submitted by the rec. department on both men.

CBRD Director David Harrell:

David Harrell is a 2003 Graduate of the Florida State University College of Business. He has 11 years of experience as a governmental auditor and financial consultant. His experience includes working with grants and not-for-profit entities.

Originally from Webster, Florida, David has also served as a volunteer fireman and the Florida Army National Guard prior to relocating to Georgia in 2008. He is very excited about the opportunity to improve the department and develop and implement a strategic plan that will outline future growth and polies needed to provide a good balance of programming for the entire community.

Field Coordinator Andy Brand:

Andy Brand was born and raised in Lumpkin, Georgia. He has numerous years working with youth programs as well as directing athletics for the recreation department in Dahlonega Georgia. He chose to move his family to Cochran not only for the job opportunity being offered but for our school system and our community.

He brings with him knowledge and experience in field maintenance and has high hopes for our recreation department. He looks forward to enhancing the fields and making our recreation department into a stunning display that we can all be proud of. Accompanying him to Cochran is his wife, Kayla and their daughter, Olivia.
