Destiny Pallord's basket made it 34-32.

BCHS continued their holiday basketball tradition by opening play in the Bear Brawl Friday evening. Both teams were matched up with host Houston County. The girls game was played at Feagin Mill Middle School.

Aliyah Whithead got the shooter's bounce here to tie the score with three seconds left.

It was a low-scoring first half for the Lady Royals, scoring 12 points at halftime. Tied at 25 with under two minutes left, Houston went ahead. BC missed two free throws and a one if one in the final minute. But Alexis Ligon hit a jumper as time expired to tie the score.

This basket by Alexis Ligon put the Lady Royals up for good.

In overtime, the Lady Bears scored six straight. Fellisia Young scored with under a minute left in overtime. Down four with 12 seconds left, Destiny Pallord scored. The ball was stolen and Aliyah Whitehead's runner with three seconds left tied the score at 34.

Later on at Houston County High School, the Royals took on the host Bears. BC was without three players including Shamar Slappy (East-West All Star Football Game) and Markell Marshall (flu.)

Kentrez Jenkins was fouled.

Down 16-2 after a quarter, Bleckley's first basket didn't come until 5:03 remained in the half. They would make just two other baskets and trailed 44-14 at halftime. BCHS never recovered and lost 62-31. Kevonn Farrow scored nine.

Spencer Smith made this deep three.

The boys play at 2:30 pm Saturday, the girls 5:30 pm. All games will be at Houston County High School.
