BCHS athletic programs ranked eighth in AA.

If you're a fan of any Royals sports, you've had lots to celebrate during the 2014-15 school year. Numerous teams won region or finished runner up. That success helped them in the Regions Directors Cup standings announced today.

Bleckley County High School finished in the top ten for the fifth straight year, placing eighth. They were also the region Director's Cup winner. BCHS and Vidalia were the only schools south of Atlanta to make the top ten. Sports success for 2015-16 by season.

Fall: Softball, region title, second round of state. Boys and girls cross country, region titles. Boys third at state, girls ninth. Competition cheerleading, region title. Football, third in region.

Winter: girls basketball, region runner up, second round of state.

Spring: Girls track, region title. Boys track, region runner up, ninth at state. Boys golf, region title, fourth in state. Girls golf, region runner up. Baseball, region runner up. Boys and girls soccer, qualify for state, girls third in region.
