The weather finally cooperated, so BCHS took the field Monday at the Wilcox County Rec. Department in a pair of scrimmage games versus the Lady Patriots. Three players had other commitments, while Aliyah Whitehead was out due to injury.

Chelsea Brady squeezes a catch in centerfield.

Game one saw Wilcox score four in the first and thee in the second. Down 8-0 in the fifth, Macy Haley got the team's only hit as Bleckley would lose in five. Things got off to a rough start in game two.

Landa Dominy had an RBI hit in game two and also scored on a steal of home plate.

Wilcox scored three runs in each of the first two innings. BC though scored three in the third and got two more in the fourth. Jordan Williams led off the sixth with a double but was left stranded at third. Three Lady Patriot runs in the home half capped a 9-5 Lady Royals loss.

Kalee Kitchens receives the ball at first base.

Williams finished 1 for 2. Bailey Odom went 2 for 3 with a pair of bunt singles and an RBI. Tuesday afternoon, the teams will make up last week's rained out doubleheader in Cochran. Game times are 2 and 4 pm.
