Allie Keel squeezes a catch in right field.

On paper, things set up well for the Lady Royals as they hosted Lamar County for the 4-AA softball tile. Besides being at home, it was the fourth game for Lamar in the past three days.

Faith Harris sets to throw to first.

But as the saying goes, games aren't played on paper. Bleckley loaded the bases with one out in the fourth but did not score. The Lady Trojans scored three runs on two outs in the fifth. BC got two back but stranded two.

Kalee Kitchens receives the ball.

They would load the bases in the sixth with no outs and in the seventh with two outs, but not score as the Lady Royals lost 3-2. Eleven runners were stranded. Hannah Coulter was 2 for 3. Taylor Dykes went 2 for 4 and also struck out eight.

Jordan Williams slides into second after leading off the bottom of the fifth with a double.

Bleckley opens the AA playoffs at home October 14 versus Fitzgerald. Game time is TBD.
