Saturday, BCHS made another short trip to compete, this time to West Laurens for the Raider Rumble. It was their first appearance at West Laurens since 2011. BC was one of nine squads in the AA division.

The familiar chant of "Let's Go Royals!" could be heard as the time drew close for them to appear. While all squads deal with injuries, Bleckley has just 13, making injury issues more magnified. One still had an injured wrist, another was dealing with back soreness.

However, the squad would do the best they could. Two stunt groups came down early. Jumps though were good, motions were crisp. While there was no major deduction this week, BC did get hit with a five-point deduction on running tumbling The large crowd of supporters applauded their efforts.

Though Bleckley would not come away with a trophy, coaches were still proud of their efforts, seeing improvement. They believe things can be fixed and improved.

Next weekend, BC will be off. They'll return October 8 at the Robins Royale hosted by Warner Robins High School.
