The Beta Club and FFA Alumni were amongst those raising funds Friday night. The FFA Alumni 50/50 raffle went toward the Alumni Scholarship.

The Royals had plenty of motivation as they welcomed Dublin Friday night. Besides the obvious having a better game after last week's poor showing at Northeast, there was an extra large crowd due to other things happening with the game.

Players released balloons as they ran out out of the the tunnel. The balloons were in honor of Kim Hardin, wife of defensive coordinator Ray Hardin. She was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

After stopping the Irish on their opening drive, BC got a partial punt block. Despite having the ball at Dublin's 43, nothing would happen.

Dublin capped their next possession with a 30-yard touchdown pass. The point after made it 7-0. After Bleckley's offense stalled and was backed up deep, the Irish appeared ready to score again.

They got the ball on Bleckley's 29 but were stopped on fourth and six from the 25. Nykeem Farrow broke free with 5:32 left in the half, going 57 yards to the endzone.

The PAT was blocked but it was 7-6. Dublin though put together a long drive and got a four-yard touchdown run with 33 seconds left to take a 21-6 lead to the half.

The halftime show was extra special as participants in the Future Dazzlers camp as well as the BCMS seventh and eighth grade band joined in.

In the third, Dublin appeared to be stopped on third and four from the Royal 21. But a roughing the kicker penalty kept the drive alive. The Irish took what was a made field goal off the board. With 5:31 left, BC trailed 21-6. A fumble on the ensuing kickoff put the ball on Bleckley's 14.

Torenio Davis is tackled as he intercepts a pass.

The Royal defense would stand tall, forcing Dublin to go for it on fourth and 15 from the 23. Torenio Davis intercepted the ball in the end zone. Still down 21-6 in the fourth, BC recovered a fumble on the Irish 35. Nothing would come of it though thanks to a Dublin interception on the next play.

Keyshon Beck cuts upfield.

With under two minutes left, Keyshon Beck had a 22-yard reception to get to Dublin's 15. Another interception, and the Irish ran out the clock as BC lost 21-6. After giving up 171 yards in the first half, the Royal defense held Dublin to 68 second half yards.

Farrow's 94 yards on nine carries accounted for much of Bleckley's 155 on the ground. The Royals make their first trip to the House of Pain to take on Washington County October 7. Kickoff is 7:30 pm. BC will be without two players.
