Mollie Sims beats the ball to second base for BC Storm.

With middle school season done, a pair of local travel teams resumed play Saturday at USSSA's Middle GA Pink Out played at Southern Pines. BC Storm played in the 14-u division. For most of the team, it was their first time after playing 12-u.

Injuries and illness left the team shorthanded. They lost all games but head coach Mike Brown said they'd learn from the day and do better. BC Crush was in an eight-team 12-u division. They'd last played about a month ago.

Crush got a 1-0 win against GA Girls 04 in pool play then opened bracket games 14-3 over the K-Zone Rebels. A 6-5 walkoff win against SE Angles was followed by 3-2 walkoff against GA Girls. BC would cap an undefeated day by winning the championship 6-5 over GA Girls.
