For the first time in ten years, BCMS repeated as region cheerleading champions. A special year like that deserves a special celebration. Saturday, the squad will be headed to Atlanta to eat and shop.

In speaking of the large eighth grade class, head coach Becky Smith said she would miss them but felt confident the seventh graders returning would be good leaders. She also believed the eighth graders could help the high school program.

In closing, Smith thanked the parents for their support at competitions as well as getting the girls to and from practice She noted how in four competitions, they missed placing first in one, but wound up beating the same school later.
