Best Offensive JV Player Emily Sanders homered this past summer at Mary Persons Paw Print Classic.

Lady Royals softball coaches Janice Bryan and Teresa Gray have a consistent approach. They expect players to do their job, work hard, and be good teammates. Neither will tolerate drama. At Monday's awards banquet, Bryan admitted there was some concern about adding extra players for a JV team after only having varsity for the past several years.

In speaking about Best JV Defensive Player Emily Floyd, head coach Janice Bryan hoped the award would motivate her to continue to work hard. Floyd is pictured with Bryan and Teresa Gray.

But she said the girls did well, and they were blessed to have girls who did what was asked and didn't cause trouble. Those clear expectations and cooperation from the girls helped contribute to a good season for the JV and third straight Sweet 16 appearance for the varsity.

Taylor Dykes earned her Best Offense award with a .550 batting average.

Players received certificates and T-Shirts. Awards were follows. JV Best Offense- Emily Sanders. Best Defense- Emily Floyd.

Jordan Williams had numerous putouts at second base.

Hannah Coulter's leadership was credited as a reason for the success of this year's varsity pitchers.

BCHS was well represented on the 3-AA All Region Team. Landa Dominy, Riley Edge, Abbey Sims, and Whitehead all made second team. Dykes, Harris, Williams, and Bailey Odom were first team selections.
