BCMS took a break from region play, taking on Wilcox County. Last year, teams met in Rochelle with the Lady Barons and Patriots winning.

Shalan Nelson drained this jumper at the end of the first half.

The Lady Patriots led by three after one quarer and as many as five in the second. Shalan Nelson's jumper with ten seconds left drew BC within 15-14 at halftime. Jalexia Taylor's three capped a 10-4 Lady Barons third quarter. Bleckley led by as many as nine in the fourth and went on to win 33-27.

Jalexia Taylor sprints to the basket for two points.

Though leading 7-5 after one quarter, the Barons were outscored 6-0 in the second. Down ten in the third, Patrick Patterson's basket in the final minute capped a 6-0 spurt that drew BC within 19-15.

Ethan Hulsey had 10 points.

Zyon Pasby tied the score at 19 in the fourth. A Patriots three with under four minutes left made it 22-19. Down 23-21, BC missed two one if one free throws as well as several shots in the final three minutes in losing 23-21.

A Patriots player tries to keep Javin Rozier from scoring.

BCMS returns to action January 17 at Swainsboro. Tip time is 4 pm.
