The top eight finishers in the 1,600 and 3,200 as well as top eight finishers in field events will advance to the finals.

This year, both the boys and girls track finals will be at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany May 11-13. According to a statement on the GHSA website, the change in venue is due to stadium renovation of Memorial Stadium in Jefferson where the Georgia Olympics (boys state) had been held.
