Bleckley County High School Junior Calli White was named the Most Positive Cheerleading Athlete in Middle Georgia by Positive Athlete Georgia. White, nominated by head coach Heather Davis, was amongst over 4,700 student athletes and coaches nominated for awards throughout Georgia.

In reacting to the award via message, White said "This is such an amazing honor that I am so thankful to be given. I am so ecstatic and cannot wait to see what else this program has in store for me."

As a regional winner, White is now eligible to possibly win a Positive Athlete state wide award. According to an email sent to White and Davis informing them of the regional award, that announcement will be made in the next few weeks.

White is the second BCHS Cheerleader to be recognized by Positive Athlete Georgia. Logan Nobles won the state wide Positive Cheerleading Athlete Award in 2015.
