Jordan Williams sets to throw from short.

Preseason play continued for BCHS as they traveled to Forysth for the first of three straight days of games at the Paw Print Classic. The Lady Royals had their entire roster on hand for both games.

Bailey Odom was back and pitched. Here, she fields a tapback to the mound.

Despite a pair of two-run home runs by Abbey Sims, Bleckley lost their first game to West Laurens 7-4. Against former region rival Monticello, BC was down 3-0 after two innings. Tori Long scored on Jordan Williams' sac bunt. Sims had her second hit in the fourth but a pinch runner was thrown out trying to steal second.

Caroline Thrower caught the ball at first base.

Earlier in the game, a runner was thrown out trying to score after being caught in a rundown. Bleckley went on to lose 4-1. Sims had two of the team's four hits, going 2 for 2. Emily Sanders went 1 for 2. Play continues tomorrow at the Monroe County Rec. Department with games against Jackson at 2:30 pm and Mt. De Sales at 4.
