First Baptist Church team one advanced to the title game undefeated, beating Lakeview Baptist Church in a semifinal. Limestone Baptist had their deepest run in years, coming up two games short of playing for the championship. Mt. Calvary Baptist (who defeated Limestone to get to the semifinals) took on Lakeview for a championship game berth. Mt. Calvary eliminated last year's two-time tournament champion, Bethany Baptist.

Down 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh, Lakeview got a run with two outs to tie the game. It went to International Tiebreaker, the last batted out went to second base. Neither team scored. But under USSSA Slow Pitch rules, if neither team scored after one inning, the score reverts back to the last team with the lead. As a result, Mt. Calvary advanced 7-6.

They took on an FBC 1 team who hadn't played since early afternoon. Mt. Calvary went up 5-2 but First Baptist rallied to tie the score. With the score still tied after seven innings, another ITB took place. First Baptist scored two in the top of the eighth.

Mt. Calvary scored one and had the bases loaded with one out. But FBC got a catch in the air by Todd Dupree at third, then an outfield catch by Tyler Allen to preserve a 7-6 win. After winning three straight tournament titles, this was the first win in three years for First Baptist.

FBC team one with the trophy.
