Tuesday’s softball game at Dodge County played like many have recently between the two teams. BCHS missing opportunities and the Lady Indians capitalizing on mistakes.

Dodge led 1-0 after an inning via a pair of two-out hits. The Lady Royals stranded runners at first and second in both the first and third innings. Aliyah Whitehead singled to lead off the fifth but was erased on a double play. Aided by two errors, DC scored two runs in the home half. Emily Sanders was hit by a pitch with one out in the sixth but left on base.

The Lady Indians scored two more, one the result of an error. Bleckley loaded the bases in the seventh with two outs but did not score in losing 5-0. Only two of the five Dodge runs were earned. Nine runners were stranded. Jayla Willis went 1 for 2.

It will be Senior Night when the Lady Royals host Southwest Thursday. Recognition will be at 5 pm with the game to follow.
