Lady Royals roll into round two of softball playoffs.

Emily Sanders stayed with the play, and got the ball to second for the out.


The Lady Royals had two streaks on the line in their softball playoff opener against Jefferson County. BCHS had made the second round for three straight seasons, winning all six first round games in five innings or less. Both streaks continued against the former region opponent.

An eight-run bottom of the second blew open what was a 1-0 game. BC used a six-run bottom of the third to win 15-0. Bailey Odom threw three perfect innings and was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Jordan Williams was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI. Abbey Sims went 2 for 3. Landa Dominy went 1 for 2 with a sac fly and 2 RBI.

Jordan Williams was safe at third.


In game two, Bleckley built a 7-0 lead after three innings. Dominy had RBI hits as part of four-run tops of the fourth and fifth. Odom was again perfect and BC cinched their fourth straight sweet 16 appearance 15-0. Odom was also 2 for 4 with 4 RBI.

Dominy went 4 for with a double, triple, and 4 RBI. Sims went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI. Williams was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. The Lady Royals will play at 1-AA top seed Berrien High School October 18. Times are TBD.
