It was another early day as BCHS wrapped up their season series with Northside Saturday afternoon in Warner Robins. Unlike the last matinee, both teams came away with victories.

Jahnaria Brown’s 10 first quarter points helped stake the Lady Royals to a nine-point lead. Up 31-20 at halftime, the lead grew to 12 before Northside would draw within eight. Aliyah Whitehead’s second three of the fourth quarter came with under two minutes left, pushing what was a six-point lead to nine.

BCHS went on to win 52-46. Brown had a quadruple double with 21 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, 10 blocks. Chania McRae added 10 points.

Shontavian Manuel accounted for 13 of the Royals 21 first quarter points. Torenio Davis’ ninth point of the second quarter came in the final minute, giving BC a 37-36 halftime lead. Justin Rozier’s three in the third pushed their advantage to five points.

RJ Barnes showed off his range by sinking this jumper.


Though the Eagles would get within three in the fourth, BCHS snapped their five-game losing streak 69-63. Manuel had a career best 20 points. Davis scored 19 points. RJ Barnes chipped in with 10 points. Mykel Anderson did not play nor dress out.
