BCHS wrapped up their season series with Veterans with a trip to Kathleen Tuesday night. While last week’s games saw the Lady Royals win easy and the Veterans boys get a late three-pointer to prevail, these games turned into blowouts as a result of the third quarter.

Markayla Jenkins scored on this shot attempt.

The Lady Royals were without Aliyah Whitehead due to illness. Though scoring just four points in the first quarter, Kiziya Elvine’s buzzer-beating three at halftime had the Lady Royals within 30-16.

Kiziya Elvine had three three-point shots.

BC though was outscored 17-6 in the third. Jahnaria Brown left the game then and did not return. Bleckley lost 60-25. Elvine had nine points.

Mykel Anderson was back in the lineup for the Royals. BC led by eight after one quarter and was up 13 at halftime. Mekell Farrow’s layup as time wound down capped a 17-5 third quarter. Bleckley went on to win 69-44.

Mekell Farrow lays up two of his team-leading 13 points.

Farrow led with 13 points. Torenio Davis scored 12 points. RJ Barnes added 10 points. It’ll be Senior Night Friday when BCHS hosts Washington County. Varsity start time is 6 pm.
