Friday was the first football meeting between BCHS and Veterans and the Royals first visit to Freedom Field. What started off as a very competitive game was derailed by Royal turnovers.

The BCHS Loyal Royals were there to cheer on the team.

Following a fumble recovery at the Royal one, Veterans scored with 9:06 left to go up 7-0. Though stopped on fourth and one from the Veterans 25 on their second possession, Zach Lassiter connected with Bryce Bailey on a 70-yard catch and run with 27 seconds left, tying the score. The Warhawks though retook the lead on a touchdown pass with 9:53 left in the second.
