Reagan Wimberly sets to throw from second base.

Last month, the Lady Royals were trying to rally from a 3-0 deficit at Dodge County before the game was rained out. In Monday’s makeup, BCHS would rally from an early deficit only to see the proverbial wheels fall off.

Caroline Thrower receives the ball at first.

Trailing 1-0 in the third, Bailey Odom’s solo home run tied the game. Riley Edge hit a two-out single to put BC on top, but runners were left at second and third. Dodge got three in the home half. Landa Dominy doubled to lead off the fourth, she came home on a two-out single by E’Lisia Vickers. The Lady Indians though responded with four more runs.

Abbey Sims tags out a runner trying to score.

After failing to capitalize on two on with no out in the top of the fifth, Dodge scored three on a bases loaded double to win 11-3. It was the ninth straight loss to the Lady Indians. Odom and Vickers were both 1 for 2. Dominy, Abbey Sims, and Caroline Thrower each went 2 for 3.

Addisyn Keel catches a popup on the infield.

Region play continues tomorrow at East Laurens. Game time is 5:30 pm.
