Saturday afternoon was literally a festive time around Cochran as three different groups held fall festivals or similar events. The Cochran Police held a “Unity in the Community Family Day” in front of the department on Second Street. Similar to the National Night Out events held in the past, it included free hot dogs, a rock wall, inflatables, and a mechanical bulldog to ride.

Officer Tracy Hernandez was at Unity in the Community Day to hand out stickers and hats to children. |
Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church held their annual fall festival. They had face painting, a bungee race, bounce house, and a slide amongst other activities. Inside the fellowship hall, people could enjoy hot dogs while watching the UGA football game.
Limestone Baptist Church transformed their softball field into a festival ground for their fall festival. They had a pirates ship ride, trackless train, inflatables, bungee trampolines, as well as the opportunity to guess the amount of candy in the jar.
