Tuesday night was the first of two straight home games for BCHS. Though both teams needed wins, both struggled offensively as they were swept by Southwest.

The Lady Royals were without four players including Jayla Willis and Kziya Elvine, both out with knee injuries. BC was down 49-13 at halftime. They scored just 14 second half points in losing 78-27. Markayla Jenkins had 10 points.

Though down four after one quarter, the Royals scored just five points in the second as they trailed 24-16. Still down eight going to the fourth, BC got within four only to see the Patriots score nine straight. A pair of Nykeem Farrows with seconds left cut the deficit to three but BC went on to lose their fifth straight, 49-45.

Nykeem Farrow is now 28 away from 1,000 career points.

Farrow had 11 points. Deandre Pitts and Amarion Blackshear scored 10 points each. Bleckley hosts Northeast January 11 at 6 pm.
