Dawson Chapman dives into third base.

BCMS looked to avenge their opening loss to Swainsboro when they hosted the Tigers Thursday afternoon. Things got off to a rough start when BC loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the first but couldn’t score.

Caleb Senters slides home to score the Barons first run in their six-run fourth inning.

They also stranded a runner in the second and had one doubled off second base in the third. Down 2-0 in the fourth, Caleb Senters scored on a throwing error. Braegan Cravey’s pinch-hit single with two outs tied the score. Following a Dawson Chapman Walk, Kade Hill came to the plate.

Cason Bryant steals second base.

Hill would send a ball up and over the fence for a grand slam, his first school career home run. Though the Barons stranded runners in the fifth and sixth, they went on to win 6-2. Hill went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI. Chapman was 1 for 2. Bleckley hosts East Laurens March 18 at 4 pm.
