A fairly experienced Lady Barons opened the regular season Wednesday afternoon against Pulaski County Middle School. Seven eighth grade players were in the starting lineup. Though it would struggle offensively after a hot start, BC pulled out a win.

Kenna Bowman hit her first career home run, a two-run shot, as part of a four-run first. It was 4-3 in the third when Marley Jarrell doubled. She stole third then came home on a throwing error. Bleckley proceeded to load the bases but fail to score. Leading 6-5 in the sixth, BC again loaded the bases but failed to score.

| Ter'Nazia Elvine caught this popup then completed a double play by tagging out the runner trying to get back to second base. |
But Bowman, pitching her third inning of relief, had a perfect seventh to help preserve the 6-5 win. She finished 1 for 2 with 2 RBI. Riley Haley and Ter’Nazia Elvine were also 1 for 2. The Lady Barons play at former region rival Toombs County tomorrow. Game time is 4 pm.
