Consistent, clutch scoring lifts Lady Royals to victory.

Region play resumed Tuesday afternoon as the Lady Royals hosted Washington County. Though the game was closer than previous encounters, a combination of balanced and clutch scoring helped BCHS to victory.

E”Lisia Vickers and Rebecca Bowling both had RBI doubles in the first four innings as Bleckley took a 4-1 lead to the fifth.

Bowling’s double came with two outs in the fourth. Waco scored two on an error in the fifth and another in the sixth to tie the score. Riley Edge’s two-out single in the home half started a four-run outburst.

Bleckley went on to win 8-4. Bowling and Vickers both went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Jordyn Krieg was 3 for 4. Edge was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. The Lady Royals play tomorrow at Schley County. Start time is 5 pm.
