Opportunities missed in loss at West Laurens.

One day after a grueling 12-inning win at J.R. Trippe, the Lady Barons were on the road again. This time, the journey was to Dublin for a matchup against the Lady Raiders of West Laurens.

Offensive struggles have hurt the team in several games this season and did again Wednesday. Down 2-0 in the third, BC had two on with one out but couldn’t score A bases loaded, two outs opportunity in the fourth produced no runs. Four runs in the home half, aided by miscues, blew open what was a three-run game.

Bleckley stranded their eighth runner in the fifth. A throwing error scored the game-winner in the bottom as the Lady Barons lost 8-0. They had at least one runner reach base in all five innings. Lauren Coley and Cayleigh Francis each went 1 for 2. BCMS hosts Dublin September 3 at 4 pm.
