On paper, Thursday’s home game against Dodge County appeared to be a good matchup for the Lady Royals. Both teams were around ..500 overall. Both teams lost key players to graduation. But as the expression goes, games aren’t played on paper.
Two errors factored into a three-run top of the second. Dodge loaded the bases in the third, again aided by mistakes. Then a ball shot down the left field line past third base and was misplayed by the left fielder. It cleared the bases. Two runs in the fifth capped the Lady Indians 12th straight win over BCHS, 9-0.
