It was matinee basketball as BCHS welcomed Northside to Cochran. Though both teams sought to build on last night’s success, bad third quarters turned what were close games into blowout losses.

The Lady Royals had a 13-10 lead with a little over six minutes left in the fist half but were outscored 12-4 the remainder of the quarter and trailed 22-17 at halftime. But it was the third quarter when BC was shut out 12-0 that turned what was a close game into a blowout.

Akernzio Hayes had one of the Royals six made three-point shots.

Tesa Taylor accounted for 14 of the team’s 26 points in a 47-26 loss. The Royals and Eagles traded shots for much of the first half. Down by eight in the second quarter, Bleckley was within 33-28 at halftime.
