This basket by My'Jayla Stanley broke an almost two-quarter drought of no baskets maede.


BCMS had their first games since Christmas, traveling to J.R. Trippe Monday afternoon. Both teams showed the effects of having not played in two weeks.

The Lady Barons had a 19-2 lead in the second quarter but went the final four plus minutes without a basket. Despite not making a basket in the third quarter, BC led by 15. The drought was finally broken with 2:54 left in the fourth. BCMS went on to win 31-22.

Down 11-2 after one quarter, the Barons got within four in the second only to see the Chiefs close the half 9-0. Bleckley scored just four points in the third quarter en route to a 41-22 loss.

BC plays at West Laurens January 9. Tip time is 4 pm.
