Why the late night updates, old articles that have to be deleted.

One of the things I try to do is work fast. Get home and get articles posted. However, site updates have been coming in the middle of the night the past few days.

That, unfortunately, is a result of the amount of work that's had to be done combined with ongoing personal life stress. I've had to sleep for a few hours before attempting to get things posted because I felt exhausted.

I'm sorry about the delays. That stress has included having to make an emergency trip Thursday to get work done on my radiator. A clamp on a radiator hose had come loose. Thankfully, a state trooper put bottled water in my car to ensure I arrived without a blown up engine.

However, the work cost $296. This comes on the same month of having to pay $839 for the filing of the 2017 HR account taxes. And no, my dad's estate isn't settled. For reasons I cannot discuss, there are things happening that are delaying it.

Oh, and the site is running out of storage space. As Bleckley Progress has been around for almost 14 years (thank you for the support), it's amassed quite an archive of articles covering both sports and community events.

However, the server that the site is ran off of is getting close to reaching its maximum size in terms of content. If it goes over, I'll have to start paying much more for web hosting. Moving the site to a new server would involve new software, archiving old articles, and cost $1,000.

I've been doing is in increments, but in the next few days, I'll be going through the forms and schedules section and deleting old articles. Posted forms and schedules, news about schedule changes, it's all got to go.

I'm unsure if it'll be enough, but I'd rather try it first than have to delete articles about things that happened. Really don't even wish to delete the photos unless there's no other option.

As always, your patience and support during what continues to be a difficult time for me personally, especially as things begin to get busy with spring sports, is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.
