Children show off their eggs gathered during the "Not Eggactly Easter Egg hunt."

It’d been nearly four month since Christ Chapel Cochran had children and youth on a Wednesday night due to the coronavirus pandemic. That changed on July 8.

Both the Reverb Youth Ministry and C4Kids Children’s Ministry met for the first time since March. The children enjoyed food, games, including an egg hunt to make up for not getting to have an Easter egg hunt in April.

Reverb was a kickoff event for new worship leader and student pastor Chad Loyd. Loyd was student pastor at the Zebulon campus. He spoke briefly to the assembled youth about plans to do things like community outreach. It was then time for fun.

This unique version of musical chairs required the participants to dance around the chairs and avoid touching them before the music stopped.

Music, pizza, a time to fellowship, and a dance contest, were all parts of a relaxed evening. There are events scheduled for the next four weeks for both groups.

July 11 will be family movie night. The children’s movie will be “Spies In Disguise,” the youth movie “I Still Believe.” A family cookout and cornhole tournament will be held on July 22. “Vision Night” is July 29.

August 5 will be a “Back to School Bash” for both groups. To learn more about both C4Kids and Reverb, visit Christ Chapel Cochran on Facebook.
