Late runs not enough for Lady Barons.

It was the first game for BCMS in a week as they hosted J.R. Trippe Thursday afternoon. Had the Lady Barons played the first five innings as well as they did the final two, the results might’ve been different.

BC had just four hits over the first five innings. Two of their five total baserunners came in the first. The Lady Chiefs built a 5-0 lead. Three in the sixth, and the game appeared to be soon over.

Emma wilson sets to throw.


But an Emma Wilson RBI double and Jada Davis sac fly would keep the game going. JRT got three more in the seventh. Wilson’s second double helped spur a four-run bottom of the seventh, but the comeback would come up short, 11-6.

Jana Tomlin had a pinch hit and scored a run in the seventh.


Wilson finished 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Amiyah Roberts was 2 for 3. Addison Hill went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Taylor Watford was 1 for 2. BCMS hosts West Laurens August 31 at 4 pm.
