If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

If you saw the photos I posted from the softball tournament in Cordele, you may've noticed there were only two, and one of them wasn't that great. That's because my DSLR camera died that day.

While in Cordele, I began getting an error message, "Error 20." I tried re-inserting the battery, nothing worked. Tried cleaning it Sunday, nothing. Called a local Canon repair shop Monday, he thought the shutter wore out.

Unfortunately, because the camera was old, it's no longer serviced by Canon. With a football game this week, and me needing another DSLR for the game, I had to incur more debt to order one.

One of the reasons why I feel it's important to have two cameras at football is because of the risk involved. With players flying around, being outdoors, it's very easy for a camera to be damaged.

At the Vidalia football game, a collision with a player knocked my lens off the very same camera that died this past Saturday. After unsuccessfully trying to clean the lens, I wound up using one from my other camera I keep on hand at the games.

I know there are a lot of ads on the site. I know you get tired of seeing things like this, me asking for your help. But with things as they are, I don't have much choice. I don't have access to a lot of other funds.

It's why I started a GoFundMe for me (Help Dave and Bleckley Progress.) It's why there's a donate button on the site, why I try to get people to buy special announcements, offer to transfer VCR tapes to DVD.

At the very least, I'd ask you to continue to pray for me. It's been a tough year. Having to replace my car radiator, buy new tires. Issues with the air conditioning here. Already had to replace one work camera.

I could use a break from getting beaten up financially. Thanks for your continued readership and support.
