Reagan Wimberly sets to throw from second base.

Maybe it was the six days off. Maybe Dodge County was extra motivated since BCHS broke their multi-year reign as region champions last week. Whatever the case, the Lady Royals weren’t at their best when the two teams met in Cochran Wednesday afternoon.

Rebecca Bowling waits for the ball at home plate for a force play.

Leading on a two-run Addisyn Keel double, three errors contributed to Dodge’s six-run top of the third. DC scored seven in the fourth and another in the fifth. Bleckley didn’t have a baserunner past the second inning in losing 14-2.

The team was presented the region championship trophy following the game. Pictured kneeling L-R: Marley Jarrell, Elisia Vickers, Darci Dillard, Reagan Wimberly, Clara Rickerson, Kemyah Anderson. They had more errors (five) than hits (two.) Keel and Trinity Glover both went 1 for 2. The Lady Royals close out the regular season tomorrow against A.C.E. at 5:30 pm.
