Correction and other site news.

Last week, the article on the Board of Education being a finalist for GSBA Governance Team of the Year had the wrong date on when the award will be presented. I typed November 10, the award will be presented November 30 on the GSBA Facebook page. Apologies for the error.

Until the land is sold, I don't have full access to my dar's IRA. Because it's being used to pay the mortgage each month. That means not only do I have my personal expenses, I have utilities, things my dad used to handle (like credit card debt), everything on my limited personal income and the site.

As you know, it's been a tough year financially. The HR account that funds the site has decreased to dangerous levels. Right now, I'm not sure how I can afford traveling to some of the further away basketball games without either hurting that account more or running up more debt.

It's why I've set up different ways to donate (including a GoFundMe, help Dave and Bleckley Progress.) It's why there are so many adds. It's why I've asked for your support. Because hand to God, the support is both needed and appreciated.

At the very least, I would ask you to pray things will work out. All I want to do is continue to live in the only home I've known for 37 years, while trying to run the best online newspaper possible, doing my best to cover the people of Cochran and Bleckley County.
