From BleckleyProgress.com Community News Bleckley County Middle School held its grade level spelling bee December 9. The top two spellers from each sixth, seventh, and eighth grade social studies classroom participated.
Sixth grade participants: Julia Arnold, Kadence Carmichael, Addisyn Dubose, AJ Gray, Shakeria Horne, A.J. Hoskins, Jonah Kelley, Tierra Kelsey, Annabelle Land, Lilyanah Lemley, Hayden Leverette, Crishaun McCurry, Zakaria Mims, Mateo Moreno, Kelvin Sneed, Bianca Turman.
Sixth grade winners. Third place: Shakeria Horne. Second place: Annabelle Land. First place: Hayden Leverette.
Seventh grade participants: Da’niya Bailey, Cameron Braden, Anna Grace Dykes, Capri Faulk, Ryder Garrett, Kemiyah Gooch, Kentrell Hand, Noah Hinson, Emily Maddox, Breontae Moore, Bri Rogers, Amya Rozier, Emma Strang, Bianca Vincent, Cadyn Wilson, and Kylie Wilson.
Seventh grade winners. Third place: Amya Rozier. Second place: Cadyn Wilson. First place: Emily Maddox.
Eighth grade participants: Ellen Arnold, Ian Arnold, Belle Bentley, Karson Caruthers, Aubriana Clark, Caleb Darsey, Billy Doan, Briggs Dominy, Bailey Enright, Hayden Evans, Luke Foster, Kyler Gurr, Carlie Johnson, India Johnson, Harleigh Pierce, and Lauren Rambo.
Eighth grade winners. Third place: Luke Foster. Second place: Ian Arnold. First place: Ellen Arnold. First and second place winners from all grades to the school system spelling bee that will be held January 20. Students in grades 4-8 will be competing.
