With the rain gone, BCHS sought to clinch an elite eight berth as well as a potential rematch against last year’s quarterfinal opponent Bremen when they took on Putnam County. Though it was stated last night the game would restart from the beginning, play resumed in the second inning when it was suspended last night.

Runs in the third and fourth put the Royals up 2-1. Leading 4-1 in the sixth, Brody Little hit a grand slam to cap an eight-run outburst. Relief pitcher J.R. Fordham got into a bases loaded jam in the home half but got out of it as Bleckley won 12-1.

Little finished 2 for 4 with a double and 4 RBI. Caleb Senters went 2 for 2 with 1 RBI. Bleckley will host Bremen May 10 at 4 pm.
