Lady Royals rebound versus Hawkinsville.

BCHS looked to rebound Wednesday afternoon against Hawkinsville. Since resuming the series against the longtime rivals from across the river, the Lady Royals were undefeated against the Lady Red Devils. That trend continued.

Leading 3-0 after one inning, BC scored four in the third. Elisia Vickers doubled in the fourth but was left stranded. Hawkinsville got runners at second and third in the sixth, but no damage was done.

Following an intentional walk to Vickers to load the bases in the sixth, Rebecca Bowling’s second hit of the dam plated the game-clinching run in an 8-0 win. She was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Vickers was 3 for 3.

Jordyn Krieg went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI. Reagan Wimberly went 1 for 2. The Lady Royals play in Macon tomorrow at A.C.E. JV at 4:30 pm, varsity to follow.
