BCHS made their competition season debut Saturday afternoon at the West Laurens Raider Rumble. Excitement has been high coming into the season following last year’s state runner up finish.

A large group of family and friends were on hand to cheer the Royals on. As BC entered the gym to the booming sounds of Archie Eversole’s “We Ready”, they erupted in cheer.

It was an overall great debut for the squad. Great standing and running tumbling, high energy, good jumps.. A stunt group did struggle to stay up, and there was a missed transition in the pyramid. Overall though, BC did well.

Those efforts would be rewarded when places were announced. Third place, Toombs County. Second place, Vidalia. First place, Bleckley County! Squad and supporters reached joyfully to the news. BC won by two points.

The squad with coaches Heather Davis and Allie Smith.

Head coach Heather Davis said she was very proud of the squad and looked forward to improving on their performance. The Royals will be at the East Laurens Falcon Frenzy October 2.
